At Joyned Capital, we empower athletes to take control of their financial future through tailored investment education programs.

We combine live workshops with self-paced online programs, to accommodate the busy schedule of athletes.

The workshops are hosted on the clubs premises, to lower the barrier for athletes to attend.

Next up, is access to the online course platform where athletes learn about investing, at their own pace, through short-form videos.

The education process is supported by Joyned Capitals team and fellow athletes going through the same learning journey.

Our education process

Kick-off Workshop

We start the education program with a live workshop designed to spark enthusiasm and interest for athletes to learn about investing.

We introduce cash flow, the most important concept athletes need to understand.

After the workshop, athletes walk away with a simple homework assignment that will leave them with enough insight to make a change in their behaviour.

Online program

After completing the kick-off workshop, athletes get acces to our gated online learning environment.

Our online courses introduce athletes to the concept of investing and the most common asset classes.

We offer deep-dive courses on the most popular asset classes, like private equity, real estate, and public stocks.

Athletes complete a learning journey with our “Becoming an investor” series, which dives into the practical knowledge needed to make their first investment into a specific asset, like rental properties, startups, or ETF’s.

Activation workshops

Every quarter, we host an activation workshop that addresses a key topic related to financial intelligence.

We open up our network of experienced investors, entrepreneurs, and industry specialists to provide athletes with a peek behind the curtains.

The activation workshops give access and insight into the practical details that have helped create success or lead to outright failure. Both insights are invaluable in the athletes' learning journey.

How much time does the education program take from athletes?

Our live workshops are 60 minutes and the online course videos range around 5 minutes, enabling athletes to spend as little as five minutes per day on their investment education.

For which athletes is the education program intended?

The education program is created for contract players, both from the academy as the senior teams. Through our workshops and courses, we aim to provide athletes who’re making an “adult salary” with the theoretical knowledge to assess investment opportunities.

What is the duration of the full program?

Our online course programs are broken down into three sections; Intro to investing, Deep-dive series, and Becoming an investor series.The intro to investing series can be completed in nine days, with one video a day.
Our Deep-dive series and Becoming an investor series offer in-depth insights and therefore are 30+ videos per series.
Athletes that complete a full journey, starting from Intro to investing, to one Deep dive series, and lastly one Becoming an investor series takes about three months.

After the athlete has completed a journey from Intro to investing all the way to Becoming an investor, they can move on with another Deep-dive (EG Deep-dive in Real Estate) and consequently Becoming a rental property investor , which will take a combined two months.

When does the program start?

The education programs run on a rolling basis, meaning that clubs can decide when the program starts.

What role does the club play in the education process of their athletes?

Clubs can take a back seat in the actual education process, outsourcing it completely to Joyned Capital.
The value that clubs can provide lies in the activation of athletes throughout the season, by mentioning the importance of holistic development. Financial peace of mind will translate to improved mental health, which is a key part of a holistically fit athlete.

What is the price and who’s footing the bill?

We charge a flat fee of €50k to provide investment education to all contract players. The investment education includes:- Live Workshops (3x)
- Unlimited access to online courses and tools
- Unlimited access to live community events with mentors (mainly experienced/successful investors sharing knowledge)
- Dedicated support from Joyned Capital’s teamWe believe it would be a great signal for the club to take on (part of) these costs.

Does Joyned Capital promote investment deals in their education program?

We do not promote investment deals in our education program. We do have an investment community that actively invests into sports-technology companies, but that is run in a separate space from the learning environment.

Is Joyned Capital a financial broker?

Joyned Capital is not a financial broker or intermediary.

Does Joyned Capital share data with financial institutions or partners?

Joyned Capital does not share data with financial institutions or partners, unless otherwise communicated beforehand to the respective athletes.
